This marvellous Hon-Gyokuro was lovingly cultivated by one of the hon masters, who works alone to achieve some of the most sought-after teas of Japan. Covered with hand braided rice mats for 25 days, this tea is harvested by hand just once a year resulting in emerald green leaves of incredible intensity in chlorophyll. Rich and enveloping with thick and heady notes known as ‘ooi-ka’, this tea is of exceptional quality.
Pour 65°C water over 8g of tea leaves per 400ml and infuse for 3 minutes. Remove leaves and serve.
